Periodontal Surgery
Periodontal surgery deals with the surgical treatment of periodontal disease which represents the infection of the supporting structures of the tooth that results in a bone resorption and tooth loss. If there’s a shallow pockets, one of the effective methods of treatment is a curettage of the pocket accompanied with rinsing. With deep pockets where significant bone resorption is present, a flap surgery with an artificial bone is proposed. In this manner, we can successfully eliminate all of the pathological granulations, i.e., damaging materials developed inside of a pocket, and the lost part of the bone is being replaced with an artificial one.
